Susquehanna University was honored by a recent gift from Doris Updegrove that will establish an endowed scholarship in memory of her husband, Dr. Robert A. Updegrove ’41. By establishing this scholarship fund, Doris is able to strengthen and pay tribute to Robert’s legacy as an extraordinary husband, father, doctor and volunteer while providing an opportunity to a deserving student every year in perpetuity.

At Doris’ request, the Dr. Robert A. Updegrove ’41 Scholarship Endowment will provide tuition assistance to pre-med majors. Doris and her family, along with all scholarship donors, will be invited to the annual Scholarship Dinner each spring where they can personally connect with the student benefiting from their generosity. The family will also receive a yearly report on the current market value of the scholarship endowment and the name of the scholarship recipient.
