The 75,000-square-foot science facility, with an anticipated groundbreaking in late 2008, will provide a net gain of 12 new collaborative research laboratories and house Susquehanna's wet science programs: biology, chemistry, and earth and environmental sciences. A renovated Fisher Hall will help accommodate the enrollment gains Susquehanna has experienced, as well as planned future growth to 2,200 students, creating a more diverse and vibrant student body. More than two-thirds of the building will become available, so that a number of academic departments and programs will be able to move into spaces in Fisher that are larger and more modern. The $45 million project, of which at least $15 million must come from philanthropy, is the leading priority of the Changing Lives, Building Futures campaign. For more information about giving opportunities or to make a gift in support of this critical project, please contact Doug Seaberg, Assistant Vice President for Gift Planning, by e-mail at seaberg@susqu.edu or phone at 570-372-4408 or 800-353-7970.
